ECMA Nominated (Jazz Recording of the Year) Bassist and Bandleader Willem Paynter is putting Halifax on Canada's Jazz map. Silver Winner of the Coast’s “Best Jazz Artist” in 2019 Willem has played a central role in expanding the Halifax jazz music scene. His weekly engagement here at Obladee Wine Bar showcases the best in Canadian talent.

This February he is joined by Martin Davidson on tenor sax, Andrew Miller on drums, and newcomer (to us!) Andrew Boudreau on keys!
